Pirin Golf and Country Club, Bansko
Nestled within a mountain range that dominates the skyline, Pirin resort is a splendid destination, worthy of the praise and admiration it receives from across the world. Rough and rugged terrain on the course and approximately 80 pot-styled bunkers make for a tricky challenge. A number of different routes form the tee to the putting green allow those less confident to play it safe whilst the more adventurous can attempt to navigate the fairway in a more risky but more direct fashion.
Golf gives way to snow sports in the winter months, and the nearby ski resort of Bansko is a real hidden gem. In certain months it is possible to enjoy skiing in the morning and golf in the afternoon for the sporty types who appreciate variety. Plus, there is plenty outside of sport to keep visitors occupied here, as the resort boasts soothing spa facilities and at least eight restaurants to enjoy.

The aesthetic of this destination is straight out of a fantasy adventure. Sensational views of the Black Sea are to be had from atop towering cliffs while visitors enjoy a spell on the 18-hole course. If you want to explore some different courses, ‘Black Sea Rama’ and ‘Thracian Cliffs’ along the coast are both located within 6km.
