Golf in the Caribbean

The mecca of sun, sea and sand the Caribbean is often overlooked as a golf destination but there is world class golf spread throughout this sunny archipelago. With too many to mention we’ve picked a few of the best for you!

Jamaica- Cinnamon Hill
Originally designed in 1969 by Hank Smedley Cinammon Hill Golf Club saw a revamp in 2001 by Robert von Hagge and Richard Baril. This duo has used the impressive elevation changes to create a sense of both links and inland golf. You'll experience the best Caribbean golf has to offer with cool ocean spray on your cheeks as you putt on seaside greens, then the wind whistling through the pines as you tee-off on the 17th hole, 350 feet above sea level. With enchanting panoramas framing your every shot this is a test of golf you’re sure to enjoy and to get the most out of your round take one of our caddies. They are listed among "The Best In The World" by Golfer magazine, and they will be equally happy to discuss Anne Palmer or Arnold Palmer and can read these tricky greens better than any pro.

St. Kitts and Nevis- Royal St. Kitts Golf Club
Another redesign project done in 2002 by Canadian architect Thomas McBroom. When the course reopened in 2004 McBroom showcased this beast of a coastal track. This extraordinary layout boasts water hazards on 10 holes, 80 bunkers and a multitude of coconut palm trees along the Atlantic Ocean. One of the toughest and most scenic courses in the Caribbean, the offshore breezes demand a player to be in control of his ball flight if he wants to be successful. With Marriott Golf Management at the helm, golfers can always expect incredible course conditions and great customer service, which is a tough job fighting the salt blast from the Caribbean Sea and Atlantic Ocean. Royal St. Kitts plays as an 18-hole, Par 71 course at 6,900 yards from the championship gold tees, but with three other sets of tees it is a fun and challenging course for every level of player.

St. Lucia- St. Lucia Golf Resort & Country Club
Known for the Piton Mountain range you could expect the landscape of St. Lucia would lend itself well to golf course design. The St. Lucia Golf Club is located on the northern tip of the island and is set within the scenic rolling hills of Cap Estates. This par-71 is not the longest championship course you will play but has a reputation around the Caribbean for it’s premium on accuracy. Overlooking both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean has since matured in to one of the most demanding layouts in the Caribbean. The par 4 opening hole gets players’ attention right away with a fairway guarded on the right by a water hazard and trees and on the left.
