Designed by the legend that is Gary Player, with that kind of name attached you already know its going to be good. But this superb 18-hole, par 72 course goes above and beyond even the most discerning expectations. With an absolutely jaw-dropping location overlooking the Black Sea coastline, the 85-hectare course layout delivers stunning ocean views from every single hole. If you can concentrate on the game (believe us, it’s hard) you’ll enjoy an experience like no other – with plenty of different tee positions to suit all players (up to the 7291-yard championship tee) and some gratifying technical challenges. Lighthouse Golf
The 18-hole, par 71 Lighthouse course
has the stamp of a champ written all over it – namely the genius of Ian Woosnam.
It attracts a host of high profile events, most recently playing host to the
2018 European Tour Senior Classic. This relatively new links course (which
opened in 2008) encompasses 6338 metres of gently undulating terrain, with five
large lakes taking care of the water hazards. With the opportunity for some interesting
technical play, it offers something for golfers of all levels – although it’s a
dream for those looking for a moderate to difficult challenge. Facilities
include a driving range, putting green, pitching green and practice bunker.
Black Sea Rama Golf
Another magnificent Gary Player
design, the 18-hole, par 72 Black Sea Rama is the country’s first signature
course. It opened in 2008 and heralded an exciting new wave for the game in
Bulgaria. The award-winning 6648-metre course’s cliff top setting provides
far-reaching views over the Black Sea, and the predominantly flat terrain
offers an enjoyable and at times challenging game – particularly the final
hole, which delivers an exhilarating finish. Renowned as a ‘player’s course’,
the orientation of the holes and the level of professional detail in the design
allow players of every level to experience a highly satisfying game in a
picturesque setting.
