Montado is situated just 35 Km south of Lisbon. The course is surrounded by 100 year old vineyards. The land is relatively flat but the course boasts some unforgettable holes, such as number 5, and number 13 which with its scenic beauty provides views of the infamous Palmela Castle.
An interesting feature of this golf course is that the golfer is always offered two choices for playing each hole, giving the better player the chance to reduce their score throughout the course.
