Celebrating 30yrs of AGE
A huge thank you to all the participants of the Champagne Open 2019.
After an absence of several years it was decided to reintroduce the event in A Golfing Experience's 30th Anniversary year.
With our friends from golf clubs across the country this serious but fun event has been going for over 20years and has a simple two day pairs format which has seen winners with all the playing combinations.
The Hotel du Golf de L'ailette has been the host for many of these events and continues to be the perfect venue for us with its magnificent view across the lake and fine cusine.
The golf course at Parc de L'ailette was in fine condition and in the process of changing its management group but still has many of our familliar faces working there.
We are pleased to announce the first time winners were Sue & Ken Judge with a fantastic score of 83 points piping Mark & Lesley James on a countback. In 3rd place was David and Sara Harper on 76 points once again on countback with the Day 1 & Day 2 Prizes going to Steve & Sue and Paul & Jamie.
Following that was Graham & Julie on 73 points, Gary & Ronnie on 72 points, Bill & Linda on 63 points with a great fight out at the back Peter & Clare on 55 points, John & Keith on 54 points and Lin & Tom on 52 points.
Nearest the pin prizes went to Gary, Jamie, Peter & Bev !!
Champagne was flowing and given as prizes at the gala dinner and everyone went there own way home some via St Omer, Lille & Arras.
We hope to see you again next year !
