Peter Allis and Clive Clark
Peter Allis and Clive Clark designed these two courses and as a pair, they created the most impressive and exciting 36 holes. The English is similar to Chart Hills in Kent, whilst the American is shades of Woburn in Bucks. Stadium style and heathland style through mature pine trees. Very difficult to book at weekends but it’s ideal on a Friday or Monday.
Set in a superb rural landscape following the terrain across large expanses dotted with a host of bunkers and lakes which provide aesthetic but daunting obstacles, the Tournette club presents us with two formidable challenges: The American - a 5,621 metre par 72; and the English - a 5,642 metre - par 71.
In addition to the pleasures of the course itself, the club also offers us an opportunity to savour the comfort of its well-appointed clubhouse.
