Peabody history dates back to 1869 when the original Peabody Hotel opened on the corner of Main & Monroe, quickly becoming the social and business hub of Memphis. In 1933, ducks were placed in the hotel’s lobby fountain, initiating an 85-year tradition with the beloved March of the Peabody Ducks, a unique spectacle that continues to delight guests today.
A great location to base yourself for a golf holiday in Memphis, with access to the area’s top three golf courses. If it’s summertime in Memphis, it’s Rooftop Party season at The Peabody. From April through August, kick off the weekend every Thursday night with hot bands, cool drinks, and sky-high views of the sun setting over the Mississippi River.
