An exceptional hotel, nestled in the historical cocoon of Leuven, both protected by and sited at the heart of the town’s hustle and bustle, the restful residence that is now Martin’s Klooster was home to Guy Morillon, the private secretary to Charles Quint in the 16th century.

The new extension that was put in place in 2012 incorporates another remarkable building that dates back to the 17th century and which served as the benchmark for the aesthetic pairing created by the dialogue between old and contemporary. Much like a bridge spanning time.

This melding has also produced new buildings that showcase playful contrasting features, focusing on transparency and intimacy, interior and exterior, open and closed, nature and culture.

In and around the new volumes embellished with gardens bordered by the river Dijle, this flowing motion of contrasts has woven a variegated mosaic of atmospheres and views that blend and entwine across the 64 extra rooms, the new seminar rooms and the new Orangery. Martin’s Klooster now offers a total of 103 rooms, ranked into four categories according to the level of comfort on offer, alongside a conference centre.

Same as the first 40 rooms of Martin’s Klooster, every single one of the 64 new rooms has its own charm and cachet and is absolutely unique in the way it has been designed and the volume it offers.

Breakfast is served in the Orangery, with a gorgeous view overlooking the 1,200 m² interior garden (with its own putting green!).

The hotel’s underground car park offers a total of 50 parking spaces (charged parking, except for the exceptional rooms).
