Overview Valderrama

Club de Golf Valderrama is located in Sotogrande in the Cadiz Province of Andalucia, Spain.

Its world-renowned Championship Golf Course has a par of 71 and measures 6.356 metres, from its Professional tees.

The golf course was designed by Mr Robert Trent Jones Sr., the doyen of Golf Course Architects in 1974.

Thanks to Mr Ortiz Patiño's desire, determination and hard work, it took Valderrama only a few years to attain its position in the Golf World rankings as the Number 1 Golf Course in mainland Europe, a position that Valderrama has proudly held and maintained since 1989. Then in 1997 the spectacularly exciting Ryder Cup Matches, won by Europe in an amazing atmosphere created the legendary status.

Robert Trent Jones Sr. designed a golf course which can be enjoyed equally by the handicap and scratch golfer.

His positioning of the tees and his shaping of the fairways allow the 24 handicap men and the 32 handicap lady to enjoy Valderrama as much as the top players in the world. Forecaddie is mandatory in Real Club Valderrama, the rate is 60€ plus gratuity and must be paid on the day of game.
