Introduction

Pyle and Kenfig Golf Course, fondly known as ‘P & K,’ hugs the South Wales coast in Porthcawl amidst a spectacular stretch of golfing terrain. This undulating links course is adorned with natural hazards—hillocks, valleys, and towering dunes—offering both challenge and breathtaking views. From panoramic vistas of the Bristol Channel and the Welsh Mountains to glimpses of Sker House and the Gower Peninsula, every hole offers a picturesque backdrop that enhances the golfing experience.

Unlike traditional links layouts, Pyle and Kenfig is organized into two distinct loops of nine. The front nine invites strategic scoring opportunities, while the formidable back nine presents a rigorous challenge, especially in windy conditions. The signature Valley Hole on the 11th, a 525-yard par five, showcases the course’s natural dunescape, setting the stage for a thrilling back nine. The view from the 14th tee, overlooking the Gower Peninsula, is particularly striking, adding to the course’s allure. The closing stretch of long par fours, culminating in a challenging finish, ensures a memorable test for golfers of all levels.
