Old Thorns magnificent championship golf course ranges across the rolling hills of the North Hampshire countryside and offers fantastic views at every turn.
Mature trees, natural springs, lakes and testing bunkers give real character to
the course which, while kind to the less experienced golfer, holds some
surprises for the player who enjoys a challenging round in a classic English
landscape.
The par 72 course has an illustrious history - plans for its
development started in 1976 and came to fruition in 1981 when Peter Allis,
Honorary President of the Club and Dave Thomas completed the construction of the
course they had painstakingly designed.
Set in the Hampshire countryside, Old Thorns Golf Course is surrounded by woodland, incorporating elements of moorland and parkland. With interesting hazards along the way, you’ll have a different challenge on each hole.
Known for being the most elevated tee shot in Hampshire, the signature 5th hole at Old Thorns offers incredible views of the beautiful countryside and an excellent sightline to the green below.
