Five nations are found within a radius of 75 kilometres from this fine golf course : Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Luxembourg!
The main challenge here lies in the landscape whose hills, woods and rivers were a great source of inspiration for Gary Player when designing this course. The existing wooded areas were integrated in the project and the different wells and rivers create the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The beauty of this course is still enhanced by the fantastic panoramic views.
It is not for nothing that yearly thousands of people come to play and that many companies organise their events here. The incredible location on the hilly foot of the Ardennes offers a special challenge to players of all levels. De course is known for the difficult and spectacular holes and the views of up to 40 kilometres. Hole 2, for instance, is a par 4 with a height difference of 46 metres and a few challengingly placed bunkers. Hole 13, a par 3 of 117 meters with a height of 28 meters stays on every player’s mind as very spectacular.
The long and narrow fairways of holes 4,5 and 6 really push the golf player to put their technical skills to the test. The quality of the fairways and the greens is a relief to those used to trampled, busy courses.
Ferme du Grand Scley is the historical building that offers a home to the catering, the reception and the Pro Shop of Five Nations. The entourage of the more than 200 year old and impressive building is unique and very stylish. The terrace, which seats 60 persons, is situated on the central square inner court and offers a view of the tower on the Five Nations logo.
