Empordà Golf Resort is situated in one of the most privileged golf destination in Spain. In Girona province, in the heart of Costa Brava and in a well known zone as L’Empordà, in northeast of the peninsula. Place of big geniuses like Salvador Dalí o the recognized Ferran Adrià, we have known to combine the golf (11 courses only in 40 Kms) with the culture and the gastronomy. We are situated near the French boarder, so that it has given us a cosmopolitan air and it has opened us to the rest of cultures of Europe.
The design of the Empordà Golf has known to integrate the game zones in a Mediterranean landscape of great natural beauty, constituted by pine field of attractive underbrush, lagoons, dunes, extensive bunkers and big streets; singular ecosystems that make reality that potential biodiversity when favouring the creation of habitat for numerous species.
EMPORDÀ FOREST a top quality design…
Shade, water, trees and silence are the key elements on this eighteen hole course which wends its way among lakes and pines, under the watchful eye of the Castle of Montgrí. The course passes through a well-tended Mediterranean pinewood in the heart of an exceptional landscape that is typical of the area. The invariable presence of the lakes and the layout of the fairways, lined with tall, native pines, are notable aspects of its design. The constant presence of water, although it sometimes presents a major challenge for golfers, does highlight the magnificence of the area.
The golf club is making great improvements constantly, mainly plantation of new fairways, new grennes, improvements in the quality of bunkers, widening of the ways, extension of the caddy masters facilities and house club, and is finishing the construction of a four stairs Hotel located next to the golf course and that has predicted its inauguration in July of this same year.
The Empordà Golf Course has also been ranked as one of the best ten in Spain. As a result of its consolidation, the Empordà Golf Resort is set to become one of the best RESORTS in Catalonia.
