The Hotel
The beautiful Barcelo Montecastillo certainly earns every one of its five gold stars and it’s a
popular choice with many of our A Golfing Experience clients. Guests of the hotel’s 124
rooms have at their disposal a litany of leisure facilities and sports enthusiasts can make
good use of the jogging track, outdoor swimming pools, golf course, driving range, tennis
courts, and football pitches. For those in search of rejuvenation and relaxation, you can take
advantage of saunas, hot tubs, massage rooms, and fitness studios after a hard day out on
the greens.
For foodies, there’s an onsite café and restaurant to serve you up delicious specialist dishes
for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The Golf
It’s what we’re really here for, right? And you better believe it’s well worth coming for. Open
right throughout the summer months, the 18-hole course at Barcelo Montecastillo was
designed by one of the greatest golfers of all time: the legendary ‘Golden Bear’, Jack
Nicklaus himself. And those who follow his game will be able to see his signature all over it.
With a driving range and various greens for putting and chipping, the course offers players of
all abilities the opportunity to strut their stuff and have a go at improving their technique on
the competitive world-class terrain. Moreover, a golf school is available onsite for those who
might benefit from the instruction of an expert observer to optimise their swing. (There are
also lockers and buggies for use.)
After a few hours playing out in the sun, the spa units might start to look pretty tempting -
even if just to refresh you for the next round. You can even take the opportunity for a bit of
cross training on the football pitch or test your core strength in the gym - it all helps towards
making you a better golfer!
If you fancy heading out to explore a few other courses, you’ll have several from which to
choose in the area around the resort. Special mentions go to Sherry Golf Jerez and Costa
