Fantastic new property in the Pyrenees

There are a number of reasons why golfers from all over the world choose to visit the beautiful Pyrenees. The stunning scenery, the range of challenging courses and the accommodation options all play a part in making this destination one of the very best for avid golfers.

If you’re thinking about visiting an area of this world-famous mountain range for your next golf holiday, look no further than Country Club de Bigorre when it comes to choosing where you’ll be staying. In this post, we’ll be exploring the variety of options this resort has to offer, as well as a few of its added extras.

Suites to Suit
At Country Club de Bigorre, there are a number of suite options from which to choose, so whether you fancy sticking with the standard or splashing out for premium, there’s a room just perfect for your needs.
• Standard – Standard by name but superior by nature. These suites offer queen-size beds, spacious living rooms, bathrooms (featuring both showers and baths) and a glorious outdoor space where you can relax. Spend the evening after being out on the green feeling truly immersed in the beauty of the Pyrenees region, sinking into a comfortable mattress and simply enjoying your surroundings.

• Family – If you’re travelling with a small group of family members or friends, these properties offer the perfect home-away-from-home. Sleeping four guests with single and double rooms available, there’s plenty of room for everyone.

• Premium – Those who love magnificent scenery will no doubt benefit from opting for the premium accommodation. They boast balcony views over the valley (it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sunset)… all in all, this spacious, luxurious option is ideal.

• Adapted – Guests with reduced mobility can enjoy the specially designed ground floor suites, all beautifully decorated and within easy reach of the resort’s amenities. Country Club de Bigorre really does cater for all.

The Golf Course
Bursting with natural beauty, the resort’s onsite course is everything you’ll be looking for and more. After a delightful rest in one of the aforementioned suites, you can head down early to enjoy a full day of swinging and putting on the 18-hole course, designed by the famous Olivier Brizon.
Providing plenty of challenges for seasoned golfers (and just as many easier shots for the armatures), this course promises a great game for all.
Restaurant Pic & Putt
Of course, you can’t enjoy a golf holiday without indulging in an exquisite meal in the resort’s onsite restaurant. Pic & Putt not only provides stunning views of the mountains, but also features a great variety of main dishes, drinks and desserts. Bring your travel companions and prepare for a delicious feast to fill your bellies before returning to your luxurious accommodation.

Le manoir is an old-style hotel that perhaps lacks some features such as lifts, in-room tea and coffee making facilities and the fact that on the 2nd floor, the hot water really does take 10 minutes to run - they do say so on cards in the rooms! the restaurant is fine, bt we felt rather expensive for what it was, but i'd level that comment at most hotels. In short, eat elsewhere!! but it has great charm - and let's remember it is classified as 3 star - and to be honest we were there for golf rather than the hotel, but its a great stop for golfers and of course its convenience for the golf du touquet courses cannot be underestimated. Its literally across the road. we will absolutely stay there again.
