Golf in Catalan
After May 25th , all Catalan clubs, courses and golf facilities will progressively start reopening for the golf activity, what means a first step on the progressive lifting of the mobility restrictions stablished due to the state of emergency in Catalonia and Spain.
Some of them, in the region of Costa Daurada and Costa Brava, started the called Phase 1 of recession on May 11 or May 18, so they have been carrying on their activity partially, mostly with restricted access to members and associates, and following the health and security protocols, with restrictions of capacity.
The Spanish Golf Federation (RFEG), alongside with the other golf associations in Spain and the Catalan Federation of Golf (FCG), presented to the Supreme Sports Council in Spain a document called “Opening Protocol of the Sport of Golf”.
The Spanish Government has created a guide with recommendations where specifies measures to guarantee social distance and minimize the risk of possible contagion of Covid-19 that all the golf facilities must follow.
On July, the government will authorize the entry of international tourists in Spain, which will be another step forward in the restatement of the new normality for Catalan golf courses.
