Tramore Golf Club was founded in 1894 and in 1939 moved to it's present address, Newtown Hill. This is an 18 hole championship course with many holes of different character that will challenge the most enthusiastic golfer. For example, the 4th hole, which is a dog leg par 4, demands accuracy from the drive. The simple looking par 3 10th where one should not be surprised to drop a shot. The "Garden Hole" par 4 12th is just that, an array of colour throughout the summer and the penultimate par 4 17th, an exciting hole which has destroyed many a potential winner's card. When golfers finish this demanding, but fair, championship course, they sit in the comfortable surroundings of the Clubhouse which overlooks the 18th green and chat about a successful round or listen to fellow golfers saying.
