Playing Pebble Beach is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and words can't really do the experience justice. Running along the cliffs of the breathtaking Monterey Peninsula coastline, the layout has become an iconic figure in the world of golf because of it's striking visual presence and great competitive history. Designed by Jack Neville and Douglas grant this masterpiece officially opened in 1919, but the layout has seen a number of improvements over the years and has been lengthened to keep up with the standards of modern championship courses.
Pebble has played host to some of the best U.S. Opens in history including Nicklaus' 1 iron and Tom Watson's chip in both at the 17th hole, Tiger's record shattering performance in 2000 and most recently G-Mac's US Open win.
