Overview Kenmare Golf Club
The famous old course is a fair test of golf and is unique in that it suits all standards of golfers.
It is fair to say that the course is the jewel in the crown of the late great Mr. Eddie Hackett, one of the games premier golf course architects.
Kenmare golf course boasts some of the finest scenery imaginable. The views over Kenmare bay and the surrounding mountains take one's breath away.
The course has some great feature holes and is always in first class condition which are all the ingredients for a wonderful round of golf.
Clubhouse
The original building was an old Indian hunting lodge and was brought back to Ireland by Lord Lansdowne. "A very unique clubhouse with lots of charm", one would describe the beautiful building as : Recently refurbished to a very high standard, the clubhouse offers all the modern facilities that today's golfer requires.
The Bar
The bar has to be one of the finest in the country. An open fire will greet you on the cooler days and for fine sunny days there is a decking over looking the course with spectacular views of Kenmare bay and the surrounding mountains. The bar has a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff which is an ideal place to have a drink and why not try one of our many snacks available.
The Shop
Our club shop stocks a wide range of clothing, equipment and souvenirs. The club logo is now very treasured and looks great on many items in the shop. A memory of your day, a gift or a golfing item, we have something for everybody at very reasonable prices.
