Nestled in the heart of a Protected Natural Area, the El Rompido Golf club offers one of the best 36-Hole Golf in Spain. The climate is ideal and the sun shines almost all year with cooling sea breezes and glorious clear skies. To top it all off, are the spectacular views over the Huelva marshlands and the Atlantic Ocean.
It opened its doors in 2003 with an original 18-hole design, which is now the South Course, and an original, modern and minimalist clubhouse, designed by the architect Juan Antonio Foraster and the interior designer Ana Calderón. To the first course, built using USGA specifications, the North Course was added three years later, with a further 18 holes planned by the designer Álvaro Arana, which exceeded the high standards set by its predecessor.
The south course runs alongside the clubhouse and is divided into two courses with very different characteristics, both in terms of technique and the landscape.
The pine forest alternates with olive trees and wetlands, requiring golfers to use strategy and precision in their strokes.
The course, which can be played easily on foot, offers spacious greens known to be among the fastest in Andalusia.
The combination of tropical grass and winter grass gives the fairways a comfortable, pleasant feel.
