For golf lovers, the Donnafugata Resort has two 18-hole championship golf and practice ranges with 70 stations. Golf Academy with video systems, putting and pitching green. This Gary Player designed track winds through olive groves and carob trees typical of the Ragusa countryside that can be seen all around the plateau up to the slopes of Ragusa. The course also sits on an archeological site of a Greek necropolis dating back to the sixth century B.C. The stone walls typical of the area can be seen alongside of many holes, and surrounded by the olive rows create a unique and breath taking ambience of the course.
With no two holes the same the Northern Course requires a number of approaches and strategies to be succesful. With two lakes in play on the final three holes this provides a challenging and exciting test to protect your score. With holes 9 and 18 next to the resort, forming a natural amphitheatre can add a bit of pressure if there is a crowd present!
